Michael Bay: Transformers 2 - Still on Schedule

Worried about the writers’ strike affecting production on the Transformers sequel?

Last week reports that Roberto Orci, one of the three screenwriters charged with the task of creating the screenplay for Transformers 2, claimed the Writers Guild of America strike would negatively effect Transformers 2 production..

However, “nelson,” the administrator of Transformers director, Michael Bay’s website, Shoot For The Edit has responded to Mr. Orci’s comments”

“BTW, Bay just indicated to me that Transformers is still on schedule,” he writes. “The movie is still in heavy prep and ‘WILL be released June 24th, 2009.’”

So it looks like, at least from Michael Bay’s perspective, Transformers 2 is still on schedule. No need to panic just yet kids, our Transformers sequal is doing just fine. (Or so they say…)

    Why did you guys make jazz die. In the 80’s move they made Optimus die not Jazz. And he was the most COOLEST transformer there was!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

    I do not think starscreen will make any appearances since there is not a transformer called starscreen. However Starscream I think will be in this next movie 8P.

    I think that StarScream will come back in T2. How do I know? At the credits you see StarScream shoot into space. I am not sure about Megatron making any apperances, though. At the end of the movie, (?)Optamus(?) Prime sends a message to all remaining AutoBots in space. There will be more Autobots in T2, aswell as new deadly foes.
    I CANT WAIT! i think its commin out in ‘09! YAY!
