Transformers 2 Delayed?

Transformers 2 delayed to 2010

Well it appears that Michael Bay’s Transformers 2 may be pushed back from the reported June 26, 2009 release date. The Hollywood Reporter is not reporting that the release date for Transformers 2 has been downgraded to “as-yet-unslotted”. Understandably, fans are in a white-knuckled panic over fears the the Transformers sequel may be pushed back into 2010. Michael Bay has yet to officially respond to the Hollywood Reporter piece, but Bay has been know to candidly broadcast his thoughts, via his official site. Speculation regarding the effect of the Writer’s Strike on the production of Transformers 2 has obviously increased.

In related news, Bay has left the following news message for the rapid throngs of Transformers fans:

For the millions of viewers that logged on this year I want to thank you for the support. Transformers 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really really unique and there are a lot of them this time.

    This truly is a bummer. The writers’ strike, though nobel, is really starting to interfere with some high profile movies.
